Rapid Fiber and Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative recently celebrated a major milestone for North Florida and the region’s economic future: the completion of a broadband network providing access to high-speed, 100% fiber-to-the-home internet service for every member served by the cooperative.

Rapid Fiber Internet, a subsidiary of Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative, has completed the ambitious effort to bring broadband connectivity throughout its service area.

“Think about that for a moment—every home, every road, every farm, every community member,” Rapid Fiber CEO Mike McWaters said during the celebration. “Not most. Not many. Not just the easy ones. Not just the profitable ones. Everyone.”

Today, residents served by Rapid Fiber have access to internet speeds of up to 2 gigabits through a 100% fiber-to-the-home network, while businesses can access even greater speeds.
